Elks have provided over three billion dollars in cash, goods and services to our country.
Elks annually give more than eight million dollars in scholarship assistance to worthy high school students.
Elks have been a national leader in fighting drug abuse by providing accurate and informative literature to schools and by supporting projects such as "America's Promise".
Elks sponsor many after-school projects for boys and girls including scout troops, boys and girls clubs, little league and many other positive activities for children.
Elks sponsor such outstanding youth programs such as Hoop Shoot and Soccer Shoot, which encourage friendly competition for boys and girls age 8 through 13. The programs encourage a positive self-image for the participants, promoting a pro-family, anti-drug message (Last year over 154,000 children participated in the Texas Hoop Shoot!).
Elks support our veterans through numerous veterans service programs, such as "Adopt a Veteran," and Elks provide direct assistance to the 172 VA medical centers across the United States.
All members of the Austin community can make tax deductible donations to the Elks Lodge to help further our charitable work in the service of children, veterans, and our community. We can accept cash, goods, and some services. For more information about giving to the Austin Elks, please contact Gene Moore, our Lodge Secretary.
